The volume of cement and clinker trade between Russia and foreign countries have reached 0,3 million tons in March 2017, that is 34,7% more than the previous year level. In January-March 2017 the foreign trade turnover increased by 69,3% to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 0,8 million tons.
There was no import of clinker to Russia since the beginning of 2017. Export of clinker from Russia has reached the amount of 105 thousand tons in March 2017, that is 110% more than in March 2016. The volume of clinker shipments from Russia increased by nearly 5 times in January- March 2017 to 407 thousand tons.
Import of cement to Russia increased in March 2017 by 28,5% compared to March 2016 and amounted to 131 thousand tons. The volume of cement shipments to Russia in January-March 2017 increased by 13,6% to January-March 2016 to 305 thousand tons. Export of cement from Russia in March 2017 to March 2016 increased by 5,5% to 67 thousand tons. The volume of cement shipments from Russia since the beginning of 2017 have decreased by 1,1% to 137 thousand tons.
The main suppliers of cement to Russia in January-March 2017 (92% of total import) are: Belorussia, Kazakhstan and Turkey. The main manufacturers-exporters of cement from Russia (74% of total export) are: YUGPK, Sukholozhskcement, Novotroitsky cement plant, Volskcement and Maltsovsky portlandcement.
