In January 2017 cement dispatch volume shipped to the Russian market by railway transport increased by 10,9% compared with December 2016 and amounted to 1,2 mln tons. In the reporting month, the increase in cement shipment volumes compared to the previous month was observed at Sebryakovcement (+20%), GAZMETALLPROEKT (+2%) factories. The decrease in cement deliveries shipped by railway transport in comparison with the previous month was observed in YUGPK (-58%), Eurocement (-6%), Asia Cement (- 29%)，Iskitimcement（-37%），Vostokcement (-23%)，Heidelberg Cement (-24%). The volume of imported railway cement (+ 29%) and export shipments of railway cement (+ 38%) increased. In January 2017, relative to December 2016, the share of cement transportation in hopper cement carriers and in open wagons decreased, in covered wagons and grain carriers increased. In total in January 2017, 13 827 railroad wagons were involved for the delivery of cement to the Russian market by railway transport.
