The volume of railway shipments of cement in March 2017 to Russian market increased by 50,1% compared to February 2017 to 2,1 million tons.
An increase in shipments of cement in March compared to the results of the previous month took place at plants of Eurocement +279 thousand tons (+57%) to 771 thousand tons, Gazmetallproject +142 thousand tons (+100%) to 285thousand tons, Sebryakovcement +67 thousand tons (+67%) to 165 thousand tons, YUGPK +39 thousand tons (+53%) to 112 thousand tons, Sibirsky Cement +37 thousand tons (+46%) to 116 thousand tons and Asia Cement +28 thousand tons (+61%) to 75 thousand tons.
None of producers showed the decrease in cement railway shipments this month compared to the previous.
The volume of cement imported by railway increased by +8 thousand tons (+10%) to 82 thousand tons. Export railway shipments of cement increased by +25 thousand tons (+61%) to 65 thousand tons.
The share of cement shipments in March 2017 compared to February 2017 by hopper cars decreased from 78,2 % to 73,2% and by open box cars from 16,3% to 16,2%. The share increased in shipments by box cars from 4,9% to 9,5% and by grain cars from 0,4% to 0,9%. Only 0,2% of cement volume was shipped in other types of cars.
